People Behind

People Behind is a non-profit organization based in Athens Greece. It was founded in 2017 with the mission to empower and activate people over the age of 65 through life-long learning, digital education, volunteerism and intergenerational activities.

People Behind is committed in developing a more inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities regardless of age, gender or social status, a world that leaves noone behind. Our projects and activities are designed according to the European directions on Active and Healthy Aging but they also follow best practices from national or European organizations.

We also work on a constant basis on the needs assessment for our beneficiaries, expanding our understanding on the challenges they face as well as on possible solutions in order to implement activities applied on their actual needs. Until today more than 2500 people 65+ from all over Greece have participated in our projects, either live or digitally. People Behind is member of AGE Platform Europe.

People Behind is focused in four main sectors:

1. Active Ageing.
2. Digital literacy and inclusion of older people.
3. Combatting gender based violence.
4. Raising awareness.
